In an effort to create more affordable housing in Madison, the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority has awarded $1.8 million in Low-Income Housing Tax Credits. An unarmed man being chased by Madison police attempted to elude them by ducking into a Madison elementary school where he was confronted by a physical education teacher and quickly apprehended.
