Richard Allen Patterson, 46, of the 2400 block of Freeman Mill Road was suspected of illegally having guns in his house, which led Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Agent Nicholas Ivone to watch video on a computer seized from Patterson's house, the documents said. Ivone saw Patterson and his wife with the Doberman pinscher in their master bedroom, a Suffolk detective wrote in a search warrant affidavit.

An 18-year-old Suffolk man has been indicted on charges related to a fatal crash that occurred on Godwin Boulevard on April 3.
