WI: Eau Claire Bus Fares Rolled Back for Some; Further Reduction Could Happen in 2019

May 09--Bus fares for low-income riders will go down slightly in July, but the Eau Claire City Council will investigate whether it can be cut in half in 2019. The council voted 8-1 Tuesday -- councilwomen Kate Beaton and Emily Anderson were absent -- to lower cash fares to $1.50 for riders who meet poverty guidelines while other passengers will pay $1.75.
